Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. (GHA) serves as the Village Engineer for the Village of Long Grove. Along with reviewing all proposed development, including residential and commercial subdivisions and individual properties, the Village Engineer provides the following services to the Village:

• Planning and Preparation of the Village’s 5-year Capital Improvement Plan
• Preparation of contract plans and documents for Village Capital Improvement projects
• Construction management and observation services for Village Capital Improvement projects
• Operator of the Village Water Treatment Plant
•  Management of the Village’s annual roadway maintenance and rehabilitation program utilizing Motor Fuel Tax funds       
• Traffic Engineering reviews and planning
• Surveying reviews and planning
• Serves as the Lake County Watershed Development Ordinance Enforcement Officer for stormwater
• Assist the Village in implementation and enforcement of the Municipal Separate Sewer System (MS4) and prepare annual compliance report for the Illinois EPA
• Maintenance of the Village’s street atlas, storm sewer atlas, and zoning map
• Coordinate with the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County Division of Transportation on their projects within the Village
• Assistance to residents and Homeowner Associations with drainage and technical inquiries
• Assistance to the Village Manager and Village Planner on project scheduling and planning
