Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Information

Feb. 28, 2022 – The Village of Long Grove announced today that the community’s indoor mask and proof of vaccination in public places requirements will be lifted Monday, Feb. 28 – Governor Pritzker’s Announcement.

The decision comes as local COVID-19 metrics continue to steadily improve and mirrors similar steps being taken across the region and state to remove measures put in place to slow the spread of the virus.

The CDC’s new framework to monitor the level of COVID-19 in communities indicates the community level in Lake County is low. The CDC’s recommendation for individuals living in areas with low levels of COVID-19 is to stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and get tested if presenting symptoms.

Health officials support the use of masks by people as an extra layer of protection from the virus. People should immediately test and stay home when symptomatic, according to health officials.

Masks will continue to be required in settings as stipulated by federal or state orders such as public transportation and transportation hubs.
