Stempel Lot Construction Updates

Dear Village of Long Grove Resident:

On behalf of the Village of Long Grove, we would like to notify you that Geske & Sons, Inc. and their subcontractors are scheduled to begin work at the Stempel Parking Lot on Monday, October 4, 2021, weather permitting. Advanced Tree clearing was completed earlier today.

 

Construction will include demolition of the existing landscape timber islands, removal of the existing asphalt, new asphalt pavement, new pavement striping and lot configuration to improve maneuverability, conversion of access to Robert Parker Coffin Road and Old McHenry Road to accommodate two-way traffic, installation of conduit for future electric vehicle charging stations and restoration of disturbed areas.

 

The construction work is scheduled to be completed in early November, weather permitting. Weekly project updates will be provide.

This project will cause inconvenience. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, in advance, in helping improve the Village of Long Grove.

Transportation, garbage pick up and mail will continue to run regular routes..
