Cuba Road Repaving Project Updates

Project Updates:

October 20, 2020:

The Cuba Road resurfacing project is ongoing and proceeding on schedule. While the road will remain open to two-way traffic during the project, there will be times when access is limited to one-way traffic in the active construction zone. Traffic will be directed through the zone by flaggers. The asphalt paving portion is planned to continue through the end of October, with the final restoration to be completed by mid-November 2020.

September 22, 2020:

Arrow Road Construction Company and its subcontractors are scheduled to begin work on the Village’s 2020 Road Maintenance Program on Monday, October 5, 2020, weather permitting. For further details, click the PDF Resident Notification Letter at the bottom of this page.

September 9, 2020:

As advertised in the September 3rd E-News, the Village is hosting a public meeting Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 5:30 p.m, to provide information to residents about the Cuba Road repaving project planned for 2021. The meeting will take place outdoors at Buffalo Creek Brewing (360 Historical Lane); face covers are required, and social distancing should be practiced at all times. This is an open house format where members of the public can view project plans, ask questions, and learn how to stay informed regarding expected detours and traffic delays.

The Village recently rebid the project to include paving the entire length of Cuba Road. Bids were received in early August 2020 and the lowest will save the Village approximately $90,000 compared to March of 2020 bids. For more information, call Village Hall at 847-634-9440.
